A Good Thanksgiving

I LOVE Thanksgiving!

How great that we live in a country which sets aside a day to celebrate all we have to be thankful for.

To be able to celebrate our God, our freedoms, our family, and our lives while eating some of my favorite foods is something to look forward to each year.

This was our year to be with Jeremy's side of the family which meant several things to me besides hanging with some of my favorite people.
It meant that we barely had to travel to see them, I would get to hold my three month old niece quite a bit, and the kids could spend the night with their grandparents so we could do some serious Black Friday shopping.

Yes, I could tell that our Thanksgiving was going to be a good one before it had even begun.

I never had the opportunity to dress Chase in anything involving a turkey but Isabella has provided me with such an opportunity. Isn't this cute? The pants have a turkey in the pattern too which Isabella found on the way to her grandparents' house. I think she might have had a conversation with the turkey on her left knee.

Loving the turkey made out of ribbons.

This is Jeremy's dad (PawPaw) with his three grandchildren. Avonlea had a great first Thanksgiving. She is in that fun smiling stage though I failed to get it in this picture. Poor baby looks like she is holding on for dear life while in between my two.

I am extremely thankful for this guy. He is so good to me!

Blessed with so much to enjoy (for several meals).

I would like to point out Chase's non blue or green shirt. He decided to branch out for the holiday.
My eyes were thankful for the change.

Uncle Evan got crafty and made something he remembered making when he was a kid. I thought he got it off Pinterest. Since he had never heard of Pinterest, that would be a big No.

Chase ate this turkey a lot faster than the real turkey on his first plate.

I meant to do a post about all I am thankful for in my life but I blinked and Thanksgiving was over. I am thankful for the obvious blessings in my life like my God, my family, my friends, my country, and my home.

I wanted to take a moment to be thankful for the little things in life. Things I should remember that not everyone is blessed with many of the things I take for granted.

I am thankful for...
hot showers, heat/air in my house and anywhere I go, all my appliances, the ability to give to others, good health, my bed, the experiences I have learned from...just to name a few.

I could take a paragraph to expound on each of these but I will save you some of your precious time during this holiday season.

I hope each of you reading this had a great Thanksgiving and had a moment to reflect on all the blessings you have in your life.
